In Bangladesh the predicted elderly population (aged 60 years or above) in 2015 and 2025 will be 11.05 and 17.62 millions respectively. It is anticipated that this change will have serious consequences on the overall socio-economic development of the country. These consequences include insolvency, lack of authority in the family, social uncertainty, inadequate recreational services; deficient in overall physical and mental care and problems associated with the living measures etc.
